A commended cider apple producing red fruits with a pleasing, full bodied flavour
An exquisite cider apple variety, ‘Kingston Black’ was introduced into Hertfordshire in 1820 by Mr Palmer of Bollitree Estate. It was commended for producing fruits with a full bodied, distinctive flavour that is perfectly suited to cider making. The tree itself grows to a medium stature and has a spreading habit, while the fruits are small to medium in size. Appearing from late September, these delightful fruits additionally sport an attractive, deep red shade with pale green flesh.
